Greatness bested Talent

2012 All Star Game - Kobe Bryant scored 27 points putting him into first place in all-time All Star Game scoring. He has now 271 points, passing Michael Jordan's 262.
Lebron James scored 36 points leading the East to a furious comeback, but his last minute mistake causes him to stay in his shadow of fizzling-out in dying seconds of the game. He opted again to pass the ball instead of taking the last shot that could have given them the win.

ESPN Fires Lin Headline Writer

ESPN hasn't always been quick to admit and rectify its mistakes. But in the 36 hours after the racially insensitive headline "Chink in the armor" appeared on its mobile website about Jeremy Lin, the Worldwide Leader issued a strongly-worded apology and now has handed out punishments.
In a "Follow-up statement and action" released Sunday morning, ESPN announced the following:
At ESPN we are aware of three offensive and inappropriate comments made on ESPN outlets during our coverage of Jeremy Lin.
Saturday we apologized for two references. We have since learned of a similar reference Friday on ESPN Radio New York. The incidents were separate and different. We have engaged in a thorough review of all three and have taken the following action:
• The ESPN employee responsible for our Mobile headline has been dismissed.

NBA Cinderella Story: "The Jeremy Lin Show"

Last season he was a nobody, but this week he is making his name in the NBA, and that is Jeremy Lin. No Amare Stoudamire, No Carmelo Anthony, No problem for the New York Knicks because they have Jeremy Lin enough for them to beat the LA Lakers 92-85. And more importantly giving the Knicks a four game winning streak, their longest in the season.
Jeremy Lin scored his career high 38 points against the LA Lakers. The LA Lakers is one of the team that offered to sign Lin but he opted to sign with the Golden State Warriors on July 21, 2010. Coincidence as it may seem, Lin score his first basket against LA Lakers last year and also recorded three assist and four steals.
"I think it's a great story", Bryant Said. " I think it's a testament to perseverance and hard work. Good example for kids everywhere."

Chris Paul joined the LA Lakers?

I think it would have been better if Chris Paul have joined the LA Lakers. They would not only become a formidable basketball team, They can also a have nice photo taken such as this, it shows that Chris Paul aligns with the LA Lakers (Is it a deja vu?). Good Shot!

LA Lakers got even with LA Clippers

LOS ANGELES (AP)—Moments after the final buzzer sounded on the Los Angeles Lakers’ latest extravaganza of hard fouls, trash-talk and outright wrestling matches with the Los Angeles Clippers, Pau Gasol might have topped it all when he patted Chris Paul on the head.

Anybody who still believes the Staples Center’s co-tenants don’t have a rivalry should get his own head checked.
The Lakers’ 96-91 victory Wednesday night is only going to heat up the simmering campaign for city supremacy.
Kobe Bryant scored 12 of his 24 points in the fourth quarter, and Gasol had 23 points and 10 rebounds as the Lakers rallied from a fourth-quarter deficit for their first win this season in the cross-hallway rivalry. The game featured plenty of sharp play, including several moments of brilliance from Bryant and Blake Griffin, but also six technical fouls, plenty of extracurricular talk, and the ejection of the Lakers’ Josh McRoberts for scrapping with Reggie Evans.
